Our Founders

SeeTreat's founders, Doctor Trang Nguyen and Professor Paul Keall bring a wealth of academic expertise, technological innovation, and groundbreaking research into the radiotherapy software industry.

Dr Trang Nguyen

Dr Trang Nguyen

CEO, Founder and Director of Clinical Research

Prior to founding SeeTreat, Dr Doan Trang Nguyen was a Medical AI Specialist for Harrison.ai. In this role, Dr Nguyen was involved in end-to-end product design and development, from defining clinical requirements, data acquisition and labelling, to designing and conducting clinical trials to validate the products for regulatory approvals.

Prior to embarking on a career commercialising medical devices, Dr Nguyen was a tenured academic and maintains a position as an affiliate of the Image X Institute at the University of Sydney. Dr Nguyen concurrently held NHMRC and Cancer Institute NSW Early Career Fellowships and led Cancer Australia PdCCRS and Cancer Council project grants.

Dr Nguyen reviews for leading journals in the field of biomedical engineering and medical physics, including IEEE Sensors Journal and Medical Physics. She has published extensively on topics including functional imaging, cardiology and radiotherapy, with four of these articles as special features of their respective issues.

Prof Paul Keall

Prof Paul Keall

Founder and Director of Clinical Research

Alongside being co-founder of SeeTreat, Prof Paul Keall is a Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health, an NHMRC Leadership Fellow and the Director of the Image X Institute at the University of Sydney.

Prof Keall was previously the Director of Radiation Physics at Stanford University and returned to Sydney as an NHMRC Australia Fellow, one of only 39 people worldwide given this award.

His contributions to cancer research are internationally recognised, being ranked #1 worldwide, of over 10,000 scientists and clinicians in Image Guided Radiotherapy by ExpertScape. His research includes multiple bench-to-bedside clinical trials, over 370 scientific publications, 38 awarded and pending patents, 19 licenses and assignments to nine companies and founding three start-up companies.

Prof Keall works closely with industry to ensure his research has real-world impact with 29 current and completed industrial research agreements.

CSO and Director

Antonia Dalton is the Chief Strategy Officer at SeeTreat and has over fifteen years of financial and legal experience in the global healthcare sector.

She was formerly Vice-President of Strategy and Innovation at GenesisCare, the world’s largest Radiation Therapy Network, bringing invaluable market access and commercialisation expertise to the SeeTreat team.

Dr Sean Pollock

Dr Sean Pollock

CPO

Dr Sean Pollock is the Chief Product Officer at SeeTreat with over ten years in medical device product development in Australia and the United Kingdom, managing over 15 medical device releases across TGA, FDA, and CE regulatory bodies.

He is the inventor of three radiotherapy patents and has an award-winning PhD in Medicine from the University of Sydney. He has extensive experience with the commercialisation, development and management of medical technology.

Dr Brendan Whelan

Dr Brendan Whelan

Head of Engineering

Dr Brendan Whelan is the Head of Engineering at SeeTreat and leads SeeTreat’s largest team in the development and execution of SeeTreat products.

Dr Whelan completed his PhD at the University of Sydney, winning the 2016 ACPSEM award for the Best PhD thesis in its field.

He previously worked at the Image-X institute and took up a CJ Martin NHMRC Early Career Fellowship, splitting his time between Stanford University Radiation Oncology and the University of Sydney before joining SeeTreat.

Tanya Moran

Tanya Moran

Head of Quality Assurance

Tanya Moran is the Head of Quality Assurance at SeeTreat. Following her Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of New South Wales, Tanya followed her passion in biotechnology and has found a rewarding career in the medical device quality field for almost 20 years, both in Israel and Australia.

Before joining SeeTreat, she worked for biomed powerhouses St. Jude Medical, Philips Healthcare and Medtronic, as well as startups and medium-size companies, establishing, maintaining, and improving their Quality Management Systems.
